Anna

Anna – Wedding Co-ordinator

Anna joined the Hockwold Hall team in 2016 after helping Richard plan his own wedding, and it quickly became clear that weddings were where she truly belonged. From the very beginning, Anna has been passionate about creating celebrations that feel meaningful, thoughtful, and completely unique to each couple.

With years of experience under her belt, Anna is known for her calm presence, exceptional organisation, and creative eye. She works closely with couples from the early planning stages right through to the wedding day, ensuring nothing is overlooked and everything feels effortless. Her ability to balance structure with creativity allows couples to feel supported while still bringing their own vision to life.

Anna is also an artist and loves getting creative whenever she can — a skill that comes in handy when styling spaces, solving last-minute challenges, or suggesting ideas couples may not have considered. Her enthusiasm for weddings hasn’t faded over the years; in fact, it’s what keeps her excited for every new event.

Her favourite part of the role is knowing that no two days are ever the same. Every wedding brings a new story, a new atmosphere, and a new set of moments to be part of. Anna feels incredibly lucky to witness such special milestones in people’s lives and to help guide them through one of their most memorable days.

1: What’s the first thing you do when you arrive on site on a wedding morning?

Check in with the bride to make sure she is happy and see what time she wants to move over to the house to put her dress on. From there I then have my first action time in place and can check on the set up of the areas and suppliers before having to rugby tackle the groom into the games room/garden while we move the bride.

2. What’s one wedding moment that still makes you smile when you think about it?

That’s a hard one, every wedding makes me smile for so many reasons.

If I have to pick one moment it’s actually one of my first weddings I worked and a simple memory of the groom introducing me to his friends and saying I had made there day so special and couldn’t thank me enough.

It made me realise I loved my job

3. What’s the best meal you’ve ever had at a wedding?

Anything off of the dessert table…

4. What’s one thing you always have in your pocket or bag on a wedding day?

My trusted stitch unpicker, you will be surprised how many groomsmen dont realise their suits have a cross stitch on the side vents of their jackets.

5. What’s your guilty pleasure after a busy weekend of weddings?

Cup of tea and some chocolate.. always a winning combination after a busy wedding.

6. Have you ever had to think very fast at a wedding? What happened?

I have sent the venue owner out to pick up the grooms dad before, he had broken down on the way to the wedding and we obviously wanted to make sure he made his sons wedding on time.

7. What’s your favourite time of day at a wedding, and why?

It has to be just before the ceremony, before we send the bride down the aisle. There is something beautiful about being part of the pre wedding ceremony nerves and emotions just before, lots of love, laughs and conversations are passed between the bridal party and father of the bride, to be able to then witness the moment they take a breath, I fluff the dress and they go. It’s magical

8. What’s a trend you secretly love?

Confetti ponies/donkeys. Although not sure it’s a secret as I can’t help but fuss them when they appear.

9. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever heard about weddings or life?

On your wedding day make sure you take a moment to just step back as a couple and give a few minutes to just witness your wedding day and all your guest. There is so much love and happiness in a room for you as you start married life. It’s definitely worth taking the moment to realise it.

10. What’s the funniest most unexpected request you’ve had from a couple.

To help create a shrine in the indoor ceremony room for guests to awaken a fictional forest god that became the DJ for the evening. This couple created a whole story and game for their guest to workout during the course of the afternoon. It was amazing!
